Grade 11 - June 2023 - I was nominated by one of my high school teachers and then selected by the American Legion as one of three students from our school to take part in the Boys State program. This program has been around for decades to teach youth from all over the state about government. We went to SUNY Morrisville for a week and worked as groups of delegates in electing officials and getting elected. Each group was also taught proper discipline by a U.S. Marine. The days were long and very scheduled, but very rewarding. I was elected to two offices. The photo is from Newsday on October 15, 2023.
When we got back from Boys State, participants like me gave a speech about our experience, and we were recognized by local, county, state, and federal officials, including the U.S. Congress.

September 2022 to April 2023 - I was selected by the instructors to take part in the Innovative Martial Arts Leadership Program. The program taught us how to be leaders in life through training about adult responsibilities, like budgeting, work experiences, like teaching children, and physical fitness. Grade 11 - December 2022 - Coach Alex Nelson nominated me for a Pride Award because he saw how far I had come in overcoming my shyness and participating more enthusiastically during gym class.
Grade 9 - June 2021 - I had a final grade of 94 in this class. I really enjoy studying history and government, and I like how past events connect to our current times and the future.
Grade 9 - June 2021 - Coach Alex Nelson recognized my increasing enthusiasm for gym class.
Grade 11 - Quarter I and Quarter III.
